“Take the first step, and your mind will mobilize all its forces to your aid. But the first essential is that you begin. Once the battle is started, all that is within and without you will come to your assistance.” (Robert Collier)
The hardest part of any diet solution is to take the first step. An old proverb says, “the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step”. Using the Intentional Weight Loss method is an entirely natural weight loss method. Intentional Weight Loss means using the power of the mind to take you through that thousand mile journey and get weight loss results that are driven from the inside out. Stop dieting and start your fat loss journey in your mind now. It’s also been said that, “the game of chess is won in the mind before the first move is ever made”. Using the power of the mind the game of natural weight loss is won in the mind before the first step is ever taken. It’s probably one of the only fat loss secrets that has either never been discussed or, so under-discussed, I’ve not even seen it mentioned on the internet. The best diet is not even a diet at all; it’s a weight loss secret that starts with the power of intention and the power of focus. The biggest fat loss secret in the universe is already in your mind. Intentional Weight Loss means using the power of the mind to win that game of natural weight loss before you take the
next bite of food. There’s mounting evidence in science that the human mind doesn’t always recognize the difference between thinking about doing something and actually doing it. Some studies in the 1980’s showed evidence of people actually getting into better shape by simply imagining doing certain exercises from their easy chairs for a certain amount of time per day! A lean body and flatter belly can begin in the mind before the first move is made in the gym! How easy is that? Of course, before taking that first step it could be helpful to know where you’re going first. Yogi Berra said, “if you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll probably wind up somewhere else”. Intentional Weight Loss is a natural weight loss program that teaches you how to determine where you’re going, what it’s going to look like and how to know if you’re on the right path at all times. You can release abdominal fat and
achieve a lean body and flatter belly by clearly defining what your weight loss results will look like before you begin. You can then use the power of focus to and intention to take that first step in the right direction. Although buying the Intentional Weight Loss book may be the first physical step, making the decision to buy the book is in reality the first step in your mind. It’s a decision. What weight loss results can you imagine achieving once you learn the the biggest weight loss secret available in your own mind?

The Plateau
Have you ever tried a diet solution, a diet that actually works, and no matter how carefully you
followed the diet plan, you just stopped losing weight for a while? It can be very frustrating and
disappointing. Many people tend to give up at that point and blame the diet plan. The problem
is not always in the plan, but in how our human minds work. The solution is in knowing how
the human mind works and in knowing how to most effectively use how the mind works to
glide through resistance.
That point of ceasing to lose weight while following the weight loss plan faithfully is called a
“plateau”. A plateau is like a raised mountain with a flat area on top before the mountain
continues on up. In the case of successful weight loss, it’s encountered on our way down.
Out of all of the diets that work and no matter how careful we are with diet and nutrition, it’s
possible to reach a plateau in which the body resists releasing more weight. Plateaus can
seem to go on forever and arouse our impatience. It’s extremely important to recognize that
these plateaus are a quite normal part of the process!
Some attribute this resistance to weight loss to the function of the hypothalamus. The
hypothalamus is in a small area of the brain near the brain stem and has a primary function of
maintaining what is called “homeostasis”. Homeostasis is the tendency for biological systems
to maintain a state of equilibrium or stability in the organism of person. It’s another way of
saying that the hypothalamus tries to keep everything the same. The hypothalamus has the
power to regulate our blood pressure, body temperature, bodily fluids, emotions and body
weight at a level that some call the “set-point”. Although resistant, the set-point can be
changed gradually. Once the set-point is changed, the hypothalamus will tend to maintain at
that new level.
Any diets that work must take into account the function of the hypothalamus. Drug free weight
loss and other natural weight loss programs will not interfere with the bodies chemical states,
but will still encounter resistance from the hypothalamus. The Intentional Weight Loss method
takes all of this into account. The Intentional Weight Loss method is an example of a drug free
and natural weight loss method that uses the power of intention and the power of focus to get
you through that resistance using the way the mind works naturally; from the inside out.
Fighting directly against the body’s well designed, self-protective system will be agonizingly
self-defeating, even if you try to use drugs, “will power”, exercise, or any other force-based
strategies to over ride the hypothalamus. Resistance is “futile”; unless, you know of a weight
loss secret principle that considers resistance to be “irrelevant”. If you use a flat head screw
driver to screw in a Philip’s head screw, you’ll work pretty hard. It might go in but with a lot of
effort. What if you use a Phillip’s head screw driver that fits the screw? Suddenly, it becomes
pretty easy.

There are many methods that people use to lose weight. Some use exercise, some use counting calories, some focus on eating special foods. Some use a combination of all three and maybe other methods.

Most people find that the methods don’t work out in the long run. They may work at first, but the one using the method eventually gives up and returns to their old patterns and maybe even gain more weight than they’d lost. I’ve been there.

The fault is not in the method, but in the programming of the unconscious mind. The unconscious mind is programmed through intention. When you read the e-book, “Intentional Weight Loss”, you’ll discover how to harness the power of intention to successfully reprogram your unconscious mind and give any method you choose the best possibility of success.

There are many teachers or “gurus” who have written for years about intention and the power of intention. One of the Webster’s Dictionary definitions of intention is, “a determination to act in a certain way”.

Much is written and taught about how intention can improve our lives in significant ways. Some teach how it can improve our achievement of goals by being more on purpose and getting more done by being more focused. Others teach that intention can actually alter reality as we know it. The spectrum is broad.

Although the dictionary definition is what most people mean when they use the word, “intention”, there is much more going on with intention than “determination” and even acting in a certain way.

Intention is more akin to a program deep within the subconscious mind. That program runs thoughts, feelings, behaviors at the very least. Intentions are amazingly POWERFUL! They can be either positive and work in our best interest, or negative, and work against us.

Intentions and beliefs are very much a part of the same dynamic. There are well documented cases of many people who believed they were going to die at a certain time, and they did. It can be said that their intention is what lead to their death. Many teachers teach that the same power of intention can also create results ranging from improved mood within seconds to actual healing!

Take responsibility for that dynamic in your own life. Learn the difference that you can make with a few simple adjustments in your own intention.
